OPI-Russian Navy Suede

When I took off Revvvolution I had every intention of not wearing nail polish for about a week. I have a ton of classwork to do and I wanted my nails to do that whole breathing thing. I wasn't even going to wear a treatment or a clear polish or anything. Just my plain naked nails. But then I got halfway through yesterday and was like, I want COLOR!!!!11! and so I decided to paint them. I finally got Russian Navy Suede, and since it dries fast it was the perfect polish for me to wear today.

There isn't really anything I can tell you about this polish that hasn't already been said multiple times. This is suppose to be a suede (aka matte with sparkle) version of their other polish with the same name. I have to say, when I first got back into nail polish Russian Navy was the first bottle I bought and I love it. It's right up there with OPI Yoga-Ta Get This Blue! and Orly Royal Blue as my favorite polishes period. So when I heard it's suppose to be like that I scoffed. Oh yes, I scoffed.

That's not to say this isn't a great polish on its own. It is. It's fantastic. One thick coat, dries super quick, and as of this writing I don't have any chips or tip wear, despite washing my hands more than several times (germ freak over here). And while I love mattes, I can't really say that about any other one that I have. It's just, don't call it Russian Navy Suede. OPI has one million and one corny names, they couldn't give this (and the other suedes for that matter) new names?

Like I said, great polish. I'm pretty sure the Suedes are discontinued now so you'll have to try for a swap or blogsale to get it or go over to Amazon or Ebay and take a gander at who is selling it. I actually have two more OPI Suedes heading my way so I'm excited about those. I have two weeks left for the summer semester and I think these Suedes are all I'm going to be wearing during this time. Again, I know this is old, but I'm just getting my hands on them and what's better to wear when you have no time than a matte?
with topcoat. outdoors, sun. it actually looks 10x better than this.
