Revlon-Mystical

Another one of those you've seen before. I should probably stop saying that as I'm always the last one to get polishes. Sorry, but I'll happily wait for a sale. I don't need it when it first is released.

Anyway, Mystical is a part of the Just Tinted mini collection Revlon put out this summer. I got these when Rite Aid had that 40% off all Revlon cosmetics sale about a month ago, just haven't worn it. They didn't have all four so I got the three they had which included this one. This is a berryish pink jelly. Simple and to the point. The magic of this one is the jelly finish, which is awesome as most jellies are.
indoors. sorry about the slight blurriness.
I have four coats on here. Four thin coats. The name "Just Tinted" is perfect, cause one coat really does look like a tint. It dried on the slower side and to a matte finish. I didn't mind the matte finish, but hated the slowness of the drying. It's also thin and a bit streaky, especially if you go over those three strokes that everyone tries to get when doing their nails.

I'm in the middle with this one. I really like the color and the finish, but damn I'm not patient enough for four coats. I feel like tossing a polish if I have to do three. And to be fair maybe I could have ended at three, but with this one the more coats the better. Like the color, love the finish, the application annoyed me. That about sums it up.

Cult Nails-Iconic

Yes, I have finally joined the Cult. :) I took advantage of her Fourth of July sale and bought two colors I wanted since she first introduced them. I wanted to get Let Me Fly as well but it was sold out by the time I ordered. Oh well.

First polish is Iconic. I've seen this describe as a red/berryish polish with red flakies. And I can't disagree with that. The thing is, it's darker than what I was expecting. It's darker than what is in my pictures. Although to be fair, it's been super overcast and rainy the past few days in Charleston so I didn't get an opportunity to see this in the sun. Maybe in the sun it's more berryish than red. But what I see now is a dark red almost wine like color. It's still pretty, but I was hoping for the berryish color.

The flakies in it makes this polish. The flakies are a smidge lighter than the polish. And it has hints of gold in it. Or at least that's what it looks like. So while it's not the color I was expecting and hoping for, it's still so very pretty.

The formula was perfection. I did two coats, but if I put it on thicker for the first coat I don't think I would have needed two. The polish flowed on my nails, wasn't too thick or thin. And dried pretty quickly. And I have to say, Seche Vite usually gives me shrinkage (which I don't care all that much about since I change my polish every three or so days) but not with this polish. Score!

So I like this. Really like it. I just wish I would have realized the swatches of this from earlier this year aren't necessarily true IRL. If I wasn't expecting pink/berryish I think I would have loved it then. Darn expectations.

China Glaze-Cowgirl Up

The giveaway is over, but life is a bit hectic at the moment and I'll get to it ASAP. I promise.

So let's get to actual polish. Cowgirl Up is a part of the much loved Rodeo Diva Fall 2008 collection. You guys. YOU GUYS. This polish is love. I understand why everyone loves this collection based on this one polish. Yes one. It's just...aaaah!

The color itself is a deep dark purpley pink berry color that lights up in the sun. My pictures don't do it a bit of justice. Get your nails outside and you can see all kinds of pink, purple, and just a hint of blue shimmer. It's beautiful.

The formula was outstanding. I had not one bit of trouble. It went on so smoothly I couldn't believe it. I have on two coats, but if I really wanted to I could have probably could have gotten the job done in one. Drying time was okay, but again I didn't really time it (I'm totally slacking in the timing department).

I want to say something else but I can't stop staring at my nice. I feel like my nails are sexy or something. And that's just a really weird thing to find sexy. But I do. I want to find an outfit that matches this polish. And usually I stay away from these color clothes. That's how much I love it. If you somehow don't have this polish (or any from the Rodeo Diva collection) GO NOW AND BUY IT. I mean it. Don't make me hurt you. :)
