Very quick post tonight. Midnight Malibu part of BB Couture's California Beach collection several years ago. I did a quick Google search and there were swatches of this polish from 2009. So...yeah, I'm three years late. Oh well. This is gorgeous.
Midnight Malibu is a dark navy blue with lots of multi color glitter in it. In the bottle it looks purple (and to be honest that's why I got it) but the blue is nice. The glitter stands out like whoa. There is this light blue, almost aqua blue glitter that just pops against the dark blue when under a light source. It's so damn pretty and welcomed. There's also some red and darker blue glitter in there as well.
The formula on this was fantastic. Not too thin or thick and it went on in two coats. And like my previous two BB Couture polishes it dried very quickly. It also dried a bit matte and while it was nice I wanted it shiny so the glitter would stand out.
Love love love this. I think this may be my favorite of the three BB Coutures I have. I still would have liked it in purple, but I can't complain about the blue. If you're going to get just one BB Couture, I think I'd recommend it being this one. Just gorgeous.

BB Couture-Dragon's Breath
Another BB Couture. This one is called Dragon's Breath from their Fairy Tales Collection. I believe this collection came out a few years ago. Every time I went to order this polish it was sold out. So when it was actually in stock when I made my Overall Beauty order I had to get it. And I have to say, as much as I loved the swatches of it two years ago (one year ago?), my enthusiasm for it has diminished a bit upon seeing it in person.
Let me just say my problems with it isn't the polish itself. The formula was on the thicker side and streaky and needed three coats. (And you guys know I only do two). But I didn't have problems with applying it. It dried FAST. Like, almost matte fast. Well, maybe not that fast, but still fast enough to go "woah" when I happen to bump my nails against a table and a dent didn't happen.
My problem is that this doesn't look exactly like the same polish. One of the things I loved about seeing swatches of this polish was that while it was reddish purple with a lot of red and silver glitter, it had this blue glitter as well that just stuck out and added depth to the polish. This? Doesn't have any blue glitter. Not even a little. And that's where my disappointment comes in at. If I wasn't expecting the blue then I would like this just fine. Hell, I like it just fine now. It's actually pretty damn gorgeous and I understand why this is one of those universally loved polishes among nail fiends. But...I really wanted to see that blue glitter. Bah.
Anyway, complaining over. I actually really do like this. I do. I just wish the blue from a few years ago was in this one. That's all. This was $10 from Overall Beauty (and I believe it's the only place you can buy it at). I recommend having it, especially since it's one of those polishes that everyone likes. One of those must haves in your collections. It really is nice. Give me a day and I'll be loving this polish.

BB Couture-Carrie
I haven't tried BB Couture polishes before now. I've liked quite a few of them, but just never felt the need to order some. Well, that changed last week when I decided to order a few from Overall Beauty. (Also got two of the new A-Englands but I'm waiting for them at the moment). One of the polishes I decided on was Carrie, from the new spring Girls on Tape collection. All the polishes in this collection is named after films. Carrie is one of my personal top 5 movies ever plus it's blue so you know I had to get it. And holy omg you guys. This polish is a winner.
Carrie is a navy blue polish with lots (and I mean LOTS) of shimmer. The shimmer looks blue and silver and a few bits of reddish pink here and there. It's so pretty. My pictures do not do it any justice whatsoever. It's just gorgeous. I'm not wearing a topcoat in these pictures, but I did eventually put one on and the topcoat didn't dull the shimmer at all. It's still sparkling like crazy. The formula on this was like butter. One of the best I've ever worked with. I did two even coats and the polish dried fairly quickly, though I wasn't really timing it. It wasn't on the slow side of the spectrum is what I'll say about the drying time.
If you're a blue polish lover you have to get this polish. HAVE TO. It's absolutely beautiful and I don't know if I have something like it in my collection. I think BB Couture is only available from Overall Beauty, so you'll have to get it there. (And can I take a moment to say how awesome OB is? Kim, the owner, is so lovely and has amazing customer service. Great shop she has there.) I will definitely be getting more BB Coutures in the future. Great polish.
