Hunger Games Week: China Glaze-Smoke and Ashes; China Glaze-Riveting

Going to post my last two to conclude my Hunger Games polishes week. First up is Smoke and Ashes. It's a black base with lots of green and blue glitter running through it. The glitter is much more visible in person than in these pictures. It also is more visible without a topcoat.

I did two coats, but I applied each coat thin. If I did a thick coat I think I could have gotten away with one coat. it dried okay. Not quickly but not slowly. I wish I had a better picture of this polish, but I think it's one of those you have to see it for yourself.

The last polish is Riveting. Now, I purposely saved Riveting for last because I knew it would be my favorite of the bunch. And I was right. Riveting is a tangerine orange with gorgeous glitter of the same color running through it. This polish is so beautiful I can't even begin to describe. Really.

The formula on this was AMAZING. It was thin, but flowed nicely. I'm wearing two coats and yes, there is still some VNL. But I don't mind VNL. If you do then add a third. Even though the polish was thin it covered well. I basically added a second coat to build up the color. And the best part? You know, besides the color? It dried fast. So fast that my pictures are sans topcoat. I had no use for it. And yes, it's that shiny. Fast drying and shiny like what. Can we say perfect polish?

I know orange is a color for spring this year. If you get one orange then get this one. Don't think about it, just get it. It's so worth it. And that concludes my HG polishes for the week. If you only get one or two polishes from the collection, I say go with Riveting and Smoke and Ashes. While I love Fast Track a bit more than Smoke and Ashes, I realize that not everyone will like that color of nude on them. I'm happy with my polishes. Now, to never say the words Hunger Games again. Or at least for a LOOOOOONG time.
