Diamond Cosmetics-Hypnotic

Hypnotic was a part of the Diamond Cosmetics Winter 2010 Collection. Do you guys remember seeing anything about it? Cause I certainly don't. I got this on a whim when I found out that DC was a part of that whole free shipping the Friday before Christmas deal thing that went on back then. Never put it on until now and that's a shame.

Hypnotic is a dark green polish with little hints of green shimmer in it. Looking at it you can tell it's very apropos for the season it came out in. I think we've all seen this color a million time before. It's not too unique in my eyes.

HOWEVER, take this thing out in the sun and bam! This polish sparkles. SPARKLES. When I did my nails last night (cause I knew there was no way I'd be able to do it today) I wasn't all that keen on it. I was very much hating on it. But today, when I got a chance to step out in the sunlight I was all "holy crap." It's so pretty out in the sun I can't even begin. My pictures do not do this any type of justice.

Now, for me to get back to reality. Let me preface this by saying I've never had a problem with DC polishes before. All have been absolutely wonderful to work with. And maybe this is because I got this back in December of 2010 and never so much as opened the bottle until now, but the polish was thick and goopy and not all that pleasant to work with. It wasn't horrible, just not what I usually expect from DC. It did, however, go one in two coats and dried pretty well like the other DC polishes I have.

However, a little thick polish is NOTHING compared to wearing this. It's simply gorgeous. It's a little like holos I think. Inside it's kind of meh. Outside it's WOW. If you plan on making a Diamond Cosmetics order any time in the future, I highly suggest you get this one. It's just awesome.

And Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there! :) My mother is the greatest mom ever (but isn't that something we all say?) and I'm truly lucky to have her. I hope today was a good one for everyone.
