Essie-Coat Azure

Another drugstore Essie. It was half off and I love blue so of course I had to get it. Coat Azure was a part of their recent Spring collection, French Affair. I wasn't too excited about that collection, but after putting this on I've changed my mind. At least on this.

indoors

Coat Azure is a dark sky blue with lots of shimmer. I don't have Zoya Jo (even though I want it badly), but from swatches I've seen of Jo this looks similar. When you get the bottle it looks like it has silver shimmer, and it does, but that's not all.

It has lots of multi-color shimmer inside this polish. My camera is crap so I couldn't get it, but I definitely saw pink and blue and silver shimmer in this. I only saw it in the sun, but it's so pretty you guys. So pretty.

The formula was fantastic. Two coats, leveled off great with the second. And it dried fast. These pictures are without a topcoat. How awesome is that? For some reason I had a need to see this matte. It reminds me of Zoya Phoebe.

I'm loving these drugstore Essie polishes. I wish they weren't the same price as the salon polish, but after a few months most drugstores sell them for 50% off and I guess I can wait for that. I only have two salon Essie polishes so I can't really compare the formulas, but I think these are fantastic. I really do. And Coat Azure is a pretty polish. I'd get it just for the shimmer.
